My name is Sheree, and this is just a little about myself. I am a mom, grandma, sister, aunt, daughter, sister-in-law and wife. I enjoy baking and I’ve recently retired from my baking career at a family restaurant in my small hometown. I enjoy the computer, writing, love animals, good coffee and have a sweet tooth that never dies! I also am a homebody and enjoy spending time with my family. I have 6 children of my own, 3 step children, and 14 grandchildren. I am married to Joe, and we both enjoy being outdoors on nice days. He enjoys the woods, while I enjoy my small deck with a shade tree. Occasionally, one of the kids or grandkids will stop by to brighten my day.
I am interested in Bible Prophecy and love Christian music. My two favorite bands are Casting Crowns and MercyMe. There are so many other great artists, I could never name them all. Music connects me to God in such a personal way, mostly because they express what my heart has felt so many times.
My husband and I also attend an awesome church with an awesome Pastor and staff and are blessed to be a part of the church community.
Lastly, my writings are not professional and may not always have proper writer’s etiquette; rather I write from my heart. I have so many instances where God has moved and worked in my life. Some of those times, I hope to share with you. I know Jesus lives, and I know I will go to heaven when I am called ‘home’. I also know without a doubt that He loves you more than anyone else in the whole world. You were on His mind as He hung on the cross, because you and I are the reason He was there. I want people to know there is hope. There is always hope. The only time when hope is gone, is if you should ever find yourself totally separated from God, after your death. I pray that never happens and you can be sure it doesn’t. Your soul will be saved if you say the sinner’s prayer with a sincere heart. If you are looking for love, forgiveness, peace and eternal life, you need to look no further than the cross on which Jesus died for you. He was raised on the 3rd day and He has an awesome future in store for all those who believe. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Don’t wait until it’s too late.
Sinners prayer- “Dear Lord, I come to you in repentance of my sin. I believe you died for me, rose again and you live today. Please cleanse my heart and help me to live for you. Thank you for forgiving all my sin and cleansing me from all unrighteousness. I surrender my life to you and receive you now as my personal Lord and Savior. Amen.”
Thank you for checking out my blog, and I hope you also are traveling your own ‘Journey with Jesus.’ God Bless.
Welcome to my Journey with Jesus

I am beginning a new adventure. I’ve always enjoyed writing; everything from poetry to personal stories. I’m not sure why, but I started around 3rd grade when my first poem was about a boy I liked in school. His name was Mike and he was cute. So…I wrote a poem about him and took it home to my mom. (Yes, I wrote it during school hours. lol) That’s about where it all started. I wrote many more poems and stories while sitting in grade school and high school study hall. I wrote when I was happy, sad, scared or just because I had the urge. No, I am not a professional, and my writing shows it, but my writing is simple, honest, sincere and it’s part of my make up.
So, with being inspired by my Pastors message today, I decided to do a blog. I’m not a good speaker and I don’t have any college education or special degree of any kind, but I am a born again Christian and my best friend in all the world has always been Jesus. He has walked through life with me, and I’m sure many of you can say the same thing. I just enjoy writing about Him and life in general, therefore calling this site, My Journey With Jesus. I don’t write every day and not even every week or every month sometimes. I just write when the urge hits. Most importantly, I want to do so for all the right reasons. Those reasons are, to perhaps give encouragement, hope or just to share what’s in my heart, as well as pray for you if you feel led to share. My husband and I attend Edgewood Community Church in Waupun, WI. and this is what we as a church, believe.
God We believe in one God, Creator of all things, holy, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in a loving unity of three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Having limitless knowledge and sovereign power, God has graciously purposed from eternity to redeem a people for Himself and to make all things new for His own glory.
We believe that God has spoken in the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, through the words of human authors. As the verbally inspired Word of God, the Bible is without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for salvation, and the ultimate authority by which every realm of human knowledge and endeavor should be judged. Therefore, it is to be believed in all that it teaches, obeyed in all that it requires, and trusted in all that it promise The Human Condition
We believe that God created Adam and Eve in His image, but they sinned when tempted by Satan. In union with Adam, human beings are sinners by nature and by choice, alienated from God, and under His wrath. Only through God’s saving work in Jesus Christ can we be rescued, reconciled and renewed.
We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man, one Person in two natures. Jesus-Israel’s promised Messiah-was conceived through the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.
The Work of Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ, as our representative and substitute, shed His blood on the cross as the perfect, all-sufficient sacrifice for our sins. His atoning death and victorious resurrection constitute the only ground for salvation.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit, in all that He does, glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ. He convicts the world of its guilt. He regenerates sinners, and in Him they are baptized into union with Christ and adopted as heirs in the family of God. He also indwells, illuminates, guides, equips and empowers believers for Christ-like living and service.
We believe that the true church comprises all who have been justified by God’s grace through faith alone in Christ alone. They are united by the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ, of which He is the Head. The true church is manifest in local churches, whose membership should be composed only of believers. The Lord Jesus mandated two ordinances, baptism and the Lord’s Supper, which visibly and tangibly express the gospel. Though they are not the means of salvation, when celebrated by the church in genuine faith, these ordinances confirm and nourish the believer.
We believe that God’s justifying grace must not be separated from His sanctifying power and purpose. God commands us to love Him supremely and others sacrificially, and to live out our faith with care for one another, compassion toward the poor and justice for the oppressed. With God’s Word, the Spirit’s power, and fervent prayer in Christ’s name, we are to combat the spiritual forces of evil. In obedience to Christ’s commission, we are to make disciples among all people, always bearing witness to the gospel in word and deed.
We believe in the personal, bodily and premillennial return of our Lord Jesus Christ. The coming of Christ, at a time known only to God, demands constant expectancy and, as our blessed hope, motivates the believer to godly living, sacrificial service and energetic mission.
Response and Eternal Destiny
We believe that God commands everyone everywhere to believe the gospel by turning to Him in repentance and receiving the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that God will raise the dead bodily and judge the world, assigning the unbeliever to condemnation and eternal conscious punishment and the believer to eternal blessedness and joy with the Lord in the new heaven and the new earth, to the praise of His glorious grace. Amen.
In closing, I just want to welcome you to my journey, and hope you will be encouraged somehow as you walk your own life’s journey. I hope you are walking it with Jesus, but if not, I hope your path will lead you to Him. All I ask is that you leave no negative comments, please. I don’t want this blog to turn political, negative or contain any sort of mocking. If you don’t like what you read or see, just click off, and be on your way. Thank you in advance, and I truly do hope you enjoy your journey, and by Gods grace, come out victorious on the other end. Jesus is not only a loving Savior, but also an awesome friend. God Bless and feel free to check out my blog any time, remembering, I’m a Christian who struggles just like so many others. Sometimes they are my own private moments, but sometimes I want to share a small part of my story with you. Maybe one day, you’ll feel led to share your own. Thanks for stopping by!
